About me

Hey y'all!

I'm AzureZero, an aspiring writer of fantasy and sci-fi and the curator of this here website. You can call me AzureZero, Azure, Az, Zero... some of you may also know me as Carbuncle, or Tahla. In the outside world, I'm a QA analyst specializing in video games, and I've shipped a rather infamous AAA game (I'll leave it up to you to figure out what it is, but I won't confirm or deny anything if you ask me). I'm autistic and have ADHD, so when I start something I tend to go all-in for a few days and then lose steam before I can get anywhere. Even this very website is not immune to the whims of my neurodivergence.

I created this website after hearing about the revival of the Personal Web from various people both in my social circles and on YouTube. I longed for the days of my early youth, exploring the internet like I was on a safari, often finding sites I really shouldn't have been looking at at 6 years old (lmao). Now, in the days of the Corporate Web and Web Apps, everything's felt so... impersonal, like I was a cog in a machine, data in an algorithm, money in some rich asshole's bank account. This website exists as my own personal protest against that world, a way to have a place to call my own. My desperate shout into the void in the hopes that someone would hear it and be inspired by it. If you're reading this, that would be you.
